January 2016

On January 12 and January 13, 2016, the Registrar of the BAO, Mr. Carey Smith, presented a short Webinar to provide stakeholders with more information about the BAO accepting responsibility for cemeteries and crematoriums effective January 16, 2016.

This presentation included information on:

  • The role of the BAO;
  • BAO’s organizational structure;
  • Contact information for the BAO’s offices; and
  • Upcoming cemetery and crematorium licensing period.

June 2015

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) conducted stakeholder consultations via Webinars in June 2015. Consultation sessions focused on providing information on the transition to the BAO in 2016 and obtaining stakeholder feedback on the proposed composition of three stakeholder advisory committees. Webinar sessions were open to all licensees and stakeholders in the bereavement sector.
