Notice to Consumers: Closure of Barrie Cremation Centre Inc.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is looking to speak with people who have prepaid for services with Barrie Cremation Centre Inc. (BCC), 250 Bayview Drive, Unit 10, Barrie, ON L4N 4Y8.

Due to the closure of the centre, the BAO has been facilitating the transfer of prepaid funds in BCC’s possession to other service providers. 

There are about 20 contract-holders who have not responded the BAO’s letters and it is important that we reach them.

Contact the BAO if: 

• You or someone you know has prepaid for services and supplies with BCC and haven’t already spoken with the BAO about this;  
• BCC was storing cremated remains on your behalf.
