
Notice to the Consumer: Registrar issues Immediate Suspension Order and Notice of Proposal to Revoke the Licence of a funeral director
The Registrar, Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002, has issued an immediate suspension order and Notice of Proposal to Revoke the Funeral Director – Class 1 licence of Andrea H. Bryce, previously of Gatineau, Quebec.
Bryce’s licence has been temporarily suspended since Aug. 23, 2024, for breach of her Conditions of Licence. The Conditions of Licence were applied on July 10 of this year.
The Registrar had previously suspended her licence for two weeks, July 10 to July 24, 2024.
Appeals process
Licensees are entitled to appeal Registrar’s actions, such as proposals to suspend, revoke, refuse to renew licences or apply licence conditions, by requesting a hearing with the Licence Appeal Tribunal within 15 days of receiving a notice of proposal.
Should the Registrar’s proposal remain uncontested after the appeal period, the Registrar may carry out the proposal.
