Notice to the Profession: Message from Trillium Gift of Life Network

The BAO is sharing the following message with you from the Trillium Gift of Life Network.

This is to inform you that with Trillium Gift of Life Network’s (TGLN) anticipated transfer into Ontario Health on April 1, 2021 and associated revocation of TGLN’s charitable status, TGLN will no longer be accepting charitable donations. 

This means that TGLN will discontinue providing In Memoriam Donation forms for use by your clients and any existing forms should not be used.

This change, however, does not preclude your clients from demonstrating their support for organ and tissue donation or encouraging others to do the same.  To honour the memory of someone special who has been impacted by organ and tissue donation and transplant, or to express their support, families can encourage mourners to register their consent for donation at BeADonor.ca. This quick and simple act could one day save up to eight lives and enrich as many as 75 more.
