Notices of Proposal to Revoke the licences of Cameron McCormack and McCormack Funeral Home Stewart Chapel

Update – April 3, 2023 – The BAO and Cameron McCormack and McCormack Funeral Home Stewart Chapel have come to a solution through agreed-upon conditions of licensing.

On Sept. 23, 2020, the Registrar, Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (the “Act”) issued:

• Notice of Proposal to Revoke funeral director licence (FD-201840) of Cameron Kenneth McCormack; and
• Notice of Proposal to Revoke operator licence (FE-586) of Cameron K. McCormack Funeral Home Ltd. operating as McCormack Funeral Home Stewart Chapel.

The intention and objective of the Act are to protect the public. In doing so, the Act requires that all licensees carry on business responsibly, in accordance with the law and with integrity and honesty. The Act also requires the licensees to be financially responsible in their business dealings. The licensees’ past conduct is contrary to the intentions and objective of the Act.
