Proposal to refuse licence: Dominic Ha
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) has issued a proposal to refuse the cemetery sales representative application of Dominic Ha, of Rivendell Trail, Scarborough.
The BAO has taken this action to protect grieving families, who are consumers of the bereavement sector.
The BAO’s proposal states that Ha:
- Was involved in a nine million dollar syndicated mortgage fraud while licensed as a mortgage broker,
- Provided misleading information to his clients that induced them to invest with Ha,
- Failed to pay financial penalties assessed against his company.
The proposal was carried out on July 12, 2021. Mr. Ha cannot sell or offer to sell licenced supplies or services.
