Lucy Becker is a public affairs and policy executive with extensive regulatory experience.\u00a0She is currently the Interim CEO & Registrar at the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority.\u00a0
She is also on the Board of Directors of the\u00a0College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, serves on the Fitness to Practice Committee and is an adjudicator with the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal.\u00a0She previously served as an executive with the Law Society of Upper Canada, now Law Society of Ontario, and with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, now the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization.\u00a0A long-standing advocate for consumers, she is on the Financial Services Regulatory Authority\u2019s Consumer Advisory Panel, and the Electrical Safety Authority\u2019s Consumer Advisory Council ensuring consumers\u2019 voices are represented in policy making.\u00a0She is also a Public Member of the National News Media Council.\u00a0
A long-time resident of East Toronto, she believes passionately in giving back to the community and is on the Board of Directors of the Don Valley Community Legal Services, one of Toronto\u2019s busiest legal aid clinics, and serves on its Corporate Resources Committee.\u00a0She has an educational background in public administration, political science, and journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
