Update \u2014 Dec. 12, 2025 \u2014 The window to file an appeal to the Registrar\u2019s proposal has closed. The proposal was uncontested. Registrar has carried out the proposal to revoke Ms. Allison\u2019s licence on December 11, 2025.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Registrar, of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (the Act), has issued a Notice of Proposal to Revoke the Funeral Director \u2013 Class 1 licence of Melissa Allison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Registrar has alleged that Ms. Allison is in contravention of the Act, and that she is not entitled to licensure because her past conduct affords reasonable grounds for belief that she will not carry on business in accordance with the law and her conduct does not meet the test for licensure under the Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Allison was served with the notice on November 19, 2025. To date, no Notice of Appeal has been served on the Registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
