May 6, 2026 Update: Jordan Grant has filed an appeal with the Licence Appeal Tribunal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Registrar is proposing to revoke the licence of Jordan Grant as a Funeral Director, Class 2, formerly employed by Chapel Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in Markham, Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Registrar alleges that Grant engaged in unprofessional conduct in his dealings with a client, thereby breaching the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (the Act).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These allegations have not been proved at a Licence Appeal Tribunal hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The notice of proposal to revoke his licence was served on January 27, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right to a hearing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Act provides that a licensee is entitled to a hearing by the Licence Appeal Tribunal of a proposal by the Registrar to revoke a licence within 15 days after service of the notice. The licensee must send the notice in writing stating that a hearing is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
