On May 14, 2026, the Registrar under the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) issued an Immediate Suspension Order to the licensed operator of Richmond Hill Cemetery Inc., pursuant to section 19 of the FBCSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further to this, effective May 14, 2026, and pursuant to subsection 17 (2) of the FBCSA, a Supplementary Notice of Proposal \u2013 Further and Other Particulars setting out information discovered subsequent to the Notice of Proposal to Revoke was served on Richmond Hill Cemetery Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pursuant to section 25 of the FBCSA, Ontario Corporation number 1765321-2, operating as Eagle Ridge Cemetery, has been appointed to as the manager of day-to-day operations at Richmond Hill Cemetery, located at 1100 Bethesda Road in Richmond Hill, Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ontario Corporation number 1765321-2 shall exercise the role of manager until the appointment is cancelled in accordance with the prescribed terms under the FBCSA. Until then, cemetery operations will continue under Ontario Corporation number 1765321-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On April 16, 2026, the Registrar issued a Notice of Proposal to Revoke the licence of Richmond Hill Cemetery Inc.
