{"id":2075,"date":"2020-12-09T19:25:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-10T00:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/?p=2075"},"modified":"2020-12-10T07:26:44","modified_gmt":"2020-12-10T12:26:44","slug":"notice-to-the-profession-no-yearend-rush-on-annual-licence-renewals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/stage\/notice-to-the-profession-no-yearend-rush-on-annual-licence-renewals\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice to the Profession: No yearend rush on annual licence renewals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) has extended Annual Licence Renewal registration for all licensees, as we adjust our database portal for the previously announced fee waiver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The time extension also allows the BAO to make digital improvements to the database portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Annual renewal registration is still required, but there is no fee to be paid this year by BAO licensees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Personal licensees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personal licensees are advised not to use the BAO\u2019s database portal until we send you a message that it is ready. We will send you an update in February or later when the adjustment work is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Operators can submit paper forms now<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operator licence renewal paper forms were mailed by the BAO on Dec. 1. Operators can complete and send their forms back to the BAO starting now, by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Email &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:licensing@thebao.ca\">licensing@thebao.ca<\/a> or<\/li><li>Fax &#8211; 647-748-2645 &nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operator wall-mount licences will be emailed to operators in the new year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fee waiver for all<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember, renewal fees for all routine BAO licences are being waived thanks to the provincial government\u2019s COVID-19 support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bereavement sector fees will be waived for licence renewals, due between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021, for all BAO licensees.
