{"id":5261,"date":"2022-12-16T15:35:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T20:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/?p=5261"},"modified":"2024-01-04T09:58:13","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T14:58:13","slug":"notice-to-the-profession-final-reminder-renew-your-personal-licence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/stage\/notice-to-the-profession-final-reminder-renew-your-personal-licence\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice to the Profession: Final Reminder \u2013 Renew your personal licence"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your personal licence expires on Dec. 31, 2022.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>The BAO reminds you that you must renew your personal licence, if you intend to continue working in the bereavement sector as a licensed professional.\u00a0<\/strong><br>\u00a0<br>To avoid a late fee of $85.20,\u00a0you must renew your personal licence by Dec. 31, 2022.<br>\u00a0\u00a0<br><strong>Before you renew, you must complete 6 hours of continuing education (Con-Ed).<\/strong><br>When entering your Con-Ed information in the renewal portal, you will see that there are only 5 spaces to input\u00a0Con-Ed. \u00a0If you are lacking fields to enter all 6 hours, you may add more than one course in a text field. The total number of hours must be at least 6 before you can proceed.<br>\u00a0<br>Read our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/notice-to-the-profession-6-hours-of-continuing-education-courses-are-required-to-renew-your-personal-licence-this-year\/\">Oct. 18 notice about continuing education<\/a>\u00a0for more information, including how we do\u00a0random audits to verify completion of Con-Ed.<br>\u00a0<br><strong>Looking for courses to take?<\/strong><br>All approved courses are listed on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/the-link-no-longer-exists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bereavement Education Committee (BEC) website,<\/a>\u00a0which is the continuing education hub for BAO licensees.\u00a0Please note that the links for Humber College\u2019s for Con-Ed courses have just been updated on the BEC website.<br>\u00a0<br><strong>Questions?<\/strong><br>First, review our initial\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/notice-to-fd1-fd2-fpp-and-tssr-personal-licensees-time-to-renew-your-bao-licence-2\/\">November 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0renewal notice to licensees<\/a>.
