{"id":5282,"date":"2023-01-03T10:18:40","date_gmt":"2023-01-03T15:18:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/?p=5282"},"modified":"2024-12-22T22:57:26","modified_gmt":"2024-12-23T03:57:26","slug":"notice-to-cemetery-crematorium-hydrolysis-licensees-bao-online-portal-now-open-to-renew-operator-licences-and-submit-care-maintenance-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/stage\/notice-to-cemetery-crematorium-hydrolysis-licensees-bao-online-portal-now-open-to-renew-operator-licences-and-submit-care-maintenance-reports\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice to Cemetery, Crematorium &#038; Hydrolysis Licensees: BAO online portal now open to renew operator licences and submit Care &#038; Maintenance Reports"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The online portal is now open to renew your operator licence and submit your Care &amp; Maintenance Report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Submission deadlines:<\/strong><br><strong>ALR \u2013 Form 1<\/strong>: You must renew your operator licence by its expiry date (March 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2023).<br><strong>Report on Care &amp; Maintenance Fund\/Account &#8211; Form 2<\/strong>: You must submit this report within three months after your fiscal year end.&nbsp;<strong>Exception<\/strong>: If your total C&amp;M funds exceed $500,000 or you operate a funeral establishment on one or more of your cemeteries, you are required to submit an audited financial statement for the C&amp;M Fund within six months of your fiscal year end; if this applies to you, you may submit your Form 2 at the same time as your audit.<br><br><strong>How to access the online portal:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to our website at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebao.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">thebao.ca<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the top right corner of our main page, click on \u201cLicensee Login.\u201d&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are a First Time Visitor, click on the link near the bottom of the page to obtain a password. On the First Time Visitor page,\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leave the \u201cPersonal Licence Number\u201d field blank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your \u201cOrganization Licence Number\u201d which is your seven-digit main organization number (also known as the \u201clicensed operator number\u201d).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your last name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your email address that we have registered in our system<strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be prompted to enter either your mobile phone number or your email address, to which a verification code will be sent.&nbsp;Click on \u201cSend Verification Code,\u201d then enter the verification code you receive, in the field provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, you will be prompted to create your own password.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cI Accept\u201d for the Usage Agreement and click on \u201cFinish.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once back at the Member Portal for Licensed Professionals,&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For your \u201cUsername,\u201d enter your email address.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your new password.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201cLogin.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Cemetery, Crematorium and Alternative Disposition (Hydrolysis) Operator renewals.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Follow the steps indicated to submit your Annual Licence Renewal (ALR \u2013 Form 1) and then your Report(s) on Care and Maintenance Trust Fund\/Account (Form 2).<br><br>You can also watch our YouTube video tutorials on how to login and submit your&nbsp;<a>ALR&nbsp;<\/a><a>online<\/a>&nbsp;at this web address:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K_lGfc6R8rk,\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K_lGfc6R8rk,<\/a>&nbsp;and how to submit your Report(s) on Care and Maintenance Trust Fund\/Account (Form 2):&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7cnEE_rfDFI\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7cnEE_rfDFI<\/a>.<br><br><strong>Licence renewal fee:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As stated in a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/notice-to-the-profession-fees-increasing-for-the-2023-renewal-year-first-fee-increase-in-seven-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prior notice<\/a>: this year, the licensing renewal fee is a $17.04 base fee, plus $13.63 per burial\/cremation\/hydrolysis activity conducted in the reporting year (Jan. 1 \u2013 Dec. 31, 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Questions?<\/strong><br>We are here to help!
