Jones, Funeral Director; <br>&#8211; Covenant Funeral Homes Inc., 2505 Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto (Scarborough) <br>The business is no longer operating. <br><strong>If you or someone you know has prepaid for funeral services and supplies with Luann Jones, of Covenant Funeral Homes, please contact:<\/strong> <br><strong>Inspector Paula Davidson at 1-647-953-0540 or <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:paula.davidson@thebao.ca\"><strong>paula.davidson@thebao.ca<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today (Jan. 27, 2023), the Registrar, <em>Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002<\/em> (FBCSA) issued a Notice of Proposal to Refuse to Renew the licences of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Luann M. H. Jones&nbsp;(Funeral Director \u2013 Class 1 Licence #203000) and;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Covenant Funeral Homes Inc.&nbsp;(Funeral Establishment Operator Licence #1203).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luann M. H. Jones is the sole owner and manager of Covenant Funeral Homes Inc., operating at 2505 Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The intention and objective of the FBCSA is to protect the public interest.&nbsp;In doing so, the FBCSA requires that licensees be responsible in the conduct of business and that they carry on business in accordance with the law and with integrity.&nbsp;The Registrar has reasons to believe that the conduct of the licensee is inconsistent with the intention and objective of the FBCSA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consumers and other persons with questions or concerns can contact the Bereavement Authority of Ontario by email at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:Info@thebao.ca\">Info@thebao.ca<\/a>&nbsp;or by phone at&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:6474832645\">647-483-2645<\/a>&nbsp;or toll-free at&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:18444936356\">1-844-493-6356<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Appeals process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Licensees are entitled to appeal Registrar\u2019s proposals to suspend, revoke, refuse to renew licences or apply licence conditions by requesting a hearing with the Licence Appeal Tribunal within 15 days of receiving a notice of proposal.
