Printable posters for funeral homes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/covid-19-bao-safety-posters\/\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>June 13, 2020 \u2013 3:23 p.m.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Effective immediately \u2013&nbsp; Subject to certain conditions<\/strong>, the COVID-19 maximum attendance restriction allows for&nbsp;<strong>30 per cent capacity for indoor funerals and visitations<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>50 attendees for outdoor funeral services<\/strong>. This Revised Registrar\u2019s Directive provides key details to this morning\u2019s directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>INDOOR FUNERALS &amp; VISITATIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The persons conducting the funeral must ensure that the number of persons occupying any room in the building or structure while attending the gathering does not exceed 30 per cent of the capacity of the particular room.<\/li><li>All persons attending the gathering must remain at least two metres apart from each other and from persons conducting the funeral unless they are members of the same household.<\/li><li>The persons conducting the funeral must ensure that it is conducted in compliance with the advice, recommendations and instructions of public health officials, including any advice, recommendations or instructions on physical distancing, cleaning or disinfecting.<\/li><li>The persons conducting the funeral must ensure that any washrooms that have been made available to persons attending the gathering are cleaned and disinfected as frequently as is necessary to maintain a sanitary environment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OUTDOOR FUNERALS &amp; VISITATIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The persons conducting the funeral must ensure that no more than 50 people are in attendance.<\/li><li>All persons attending the gathering must remain at least two metres apart from each other and from persons conducting the funeral unless they are members of the same household.<\/li><li>The persons conducting the funeral must ensure that it is conducted in compliance with the advice, recommendations and instructions of public health officials, including any advice, recommendations or instructions on physical distancing, cleaning or disinfecting.<\/li><li>The persons conducting the funeral must ensure that any washrooms that have been made available to persons attending the gathering are cleaned and disinfected as frequently as is necessary to maintain a sanitary environment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is important to know that the \u201c30% \/ 50 attendees\u201d allowance are exemptions to the existing MAX 10 directive, and only apply if the above conditions are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>-Carey Smith, CEO\/Registrar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registrar\u2019s Directive: Change to attendance number at funerals and visitations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>June 13, 2020 \u2013 9:51 a.m. Effective immediately<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As per the provincial government\u2019s announcement today, the COVID-19 maximum attendance restriction has been changed to a&nbsp;<strong>30 per cent capacity<\/strong>&nbsp;rule for funerals and visitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The number of people allowed to attend&nbsp;<strong>an indoor&nbsp;<\/strong>funeral ceremony is a maximum of&nbsp;<strong>30 per cent of the capacity of the funeral home&nbsp;<\/strong>or venue<strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Funeral services taking place<strong>&nbsp;outdoors&nbsp;<\/strong>will be<strong>&nbsp;limited to 50 attendees.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres from people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thebao.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/BAO_AttendanceGuidance_June15_2020.pdf\">***BAO Attendance Guidance<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;for the profession supporting this Registrar\u2019s Directive was posted on June 15, 2020.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>-Carey Smith, CEO\/Registrar<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"***BAO Attendance Guidance\u00a0for the profession supporting this Registrar\u2019s Directive was posted on June 15, 2020.\u00a0Click here for the\u00a0PDF.
