Laurie Macdonald

Laurie Macdonald is the Executive Director of the Ontario Wine Appellation Authority, where she oversees management and operations. The authority administers provincial regulations that govern wine composition and labelling of Ontario wines for consumers. She has been with the authority since its establishment in 2000. Previously, she practiced as a professional engineer in the mining and explosives fields and later was the Director of Professional Affairs and Registrar at Professional Engineers Ontario, the licensing authority for the profession. Laurie currently serves on the Board of the Ontario Colleges Quality Assurance Service and is an active Civilian Instructor in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets Corps.
