Andrew Roy

Andrew Roy is President of The Beechwood Cemetery Company, Canada’s National Cemetery. Beechwood is also home to Canada’s National Military, RCMP and CISIS Cemeteries and the Ottawa Police Services’ Cemetery. He also serves as Executive Director of the Beechwood Foundation.
Andrew is the fourth generation of the Roy family to be involved in cemetery management and brings over thirty years of experience in the funeral, cremation, and cemetery industry. He began his career at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montréal, where he was latterly the Director of Funeral & Cremation Operations and in 2005, he assumed the role of General Manager of Riverside Cemetery, in Lindsay, Ontario.
Andrew previously held leadership roles in the bereavement industry, serving as the President of the then Ontario Association of Cemeteries (OAC) (2000) and of the Ontario Association of Cemetery and Funeral Professionals (OACFP) (2010). Since moving to Ontario he has served on the OACFP Legislation Committee (now the Government Relations Committee) and has served as Chair of the Funeral Profession Coalition Council of Canada (FPCCC) on two occasions.
