Lucy Becker

Lucy Becker is a public affairs and policy executive with extensive regulatory experience. She is currently the Vice President of Public Affairs and Policy at the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority.
She is also on the Board of Directors of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, serves on the Fitness to Practice Committee and is an adjudicator with the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal. She previously served as an executive with the Law Society of Upper Canada, now Law Society of Ontario, and with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, now the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization. A long-standing advocate for consumers, she is on the Financial Services Regulatory Authority’s Consumer Advisory Panel, and the Electrical Safety Authority’s Consumer Advisory Council ensuring consumers’ voices are represented in policy making. She is also a Public Member of the National News Media Council.
A long-time resident of East Toronto, she believes passionately in giving back to the community and is on the Board of Directors of the Don Valley Community Legal Services, one of Toronto’s busiest legal aid clinics, and serves on its Corporate Resources Committee. She has an educational background in public administration, political science, and journalism.
