Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Registrar
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is seeking a Chief Operating Officer & Deputy Registrar (COO). Reporting to the CEO & Registrar, the COO plays a pivotal role in ensuring the BAO’s operational excellence and regulatory effectiveness align with its strategic direction. The COO will provide leadership and vision necessary to ensure that the BAO has the operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place needed to effectively manage the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The COO oversees the execution of key regulatory functions, driving innovation and efficiency across all departments. Success is defined as being dedicated to upholding the BAO’s mission of safeguarding public interests while fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
