Justin A. Brown
Justin A. Brown joined the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, as our Chief Executive Officer and Registrar, on December 9, 2025.
He brings extensive experience in regulatory affairs, consumer protection, and the governance of Delegated Administrative Authorities (DAAs).
Justin has advised the Ontario Government on the creation and oversight of several DAAs during a period of significant modernization in Ontario’s regulatory landscape. Notably, his work helped shape the statutes and governance models that continue to guide many of Ontario’s DAAs today.
He has had significant achievements creating and implementing successful advocacy and public relations strategies leading to policy change, including the first comprehensive OHIP Agreement in more than 30 years – aimed at a sustainable, accessible eye care system for the 21st Century.
Justin also brings relevant experience in board governance, policy making and budgeting, marketing, communications and issues management, change management, and in building and leading high-performing teams.
His long-standing involvement with public-interest organizations reflects a deep commitment to service and to strengthening systems that support Ontario communities.
