Michael Crisp joined the Bereavement Authority of Ontario’s Board of Directors on Nov. 1, 2025.
Highlights of the business experience he brings to the BAO as a former retail business leader, in several major corporations, include:
- Levi Strauss & Co., as the Retail Director, Canada, where his responsibilities included driving financial growth in productivity and profitability of its retail network of stores, developing and opening the first Levi’s pop-up store globally;
 - Golf Town Limited, as its Vice-President of Store Operations, where he was accountable for all 48 retail store operations and E-commerce platform, managing profitability, overseeing the achievement of key performance indicators, and developing risk-mitigation strategies;
 - Walmart Canada Corp., as the Senior Director of Central Operations, where his achievements included improving profitability, addressing business risk, and introducing merchandising initiatives;
 - Kodiak Group Inc., as Director of Retail Operations, where his responsibilities included accountability for more than 60 locations, providing human resources leadership, identifying real estate opportunities, and supervising all new store construction.
 
A business administration graduate of Seneca College, and a Havard Mentor Manager, Michael is currently a realtor with his wife in the Greater Toronto Area. 
A parent of two children with his late wife, and grandfather of one, he grew up in North York and now lives in Oakville with his wife and stepchildren. Active in his community, Michael has coached minor league hockey and baseball for many years, and enjoys playing golf and travel.
