Notice to the Profession: Final Reminder – Renew your personal licence

Your personal licence expires on Dec. 31, 2022. The BAO reminds you that you must renew your personal licence, if you intend to continue working in the bereavement sector as a licensed professional.

To avoid a late fee of $85.20, you must renew your personal licence by Dec. 31, 2022.

Before you renew, you must complete 6 hours of continuing education (Con-Ed).
When entering your Con-Ed information in the renewal portal, you will see that there are only 5 spaces to input Con-Ed.  If you are lacking fields to enter all 6 hours, you may add more than one course in a text field. The total number of hours must be at least 6 before you can proceed.

Read our Oct. 18 notice about continuing education for more information, including how we do random audits to verify completion of Con-Ed.

Looking for courses to take?
All approved courses are listed on the Bereavement Education Committee (BEC) website, which is the continuing education hub for BAO licensees. Please note that the links for Humber College’s for Con-Ed courses have just been updated on the BEC website.
